When your child leaves us for school, we want them to arrive in reception ready to approach the unknown challenges with curiosity rather than anxiety. We do work that enables them to think critically, navigate social situations with empathy and make independent decisions.

Most importantly, they possess intrinsic motivation to approach learning with quiet assurance; they know what it feels like to struggle with something challenging and also the joy of succeeding.

Confidence doesn't appear overnight. The journey for our preschoolers provides opportunities for hundreds of small moments for them to build on their self-belief.

With structured learning based on their own interests, this stage is where children start recognising & celebrating their own victories and creating their own milestones opening themselves to feel pride in their achievements.

Mixed Age Environment

Our mixed-age environment creates natural learning dynamics. Younger children observe what's possible daily.

This daily practice of being a calm and patient leader helps them deal with handling frustration and learning to control their emotions, which will continue to aid them into adulthood.

For older children struggling with numbers, our teachers may pair them with a younger child for their first lessons on tools like Number Rods providing a pressure-free opportunity for repetition and concrete understanding. This solidifies their own shaky knowledge more effectively than adult lecturing.

Beyond academics, older children take on mentorship roles showing younger children how to behave with empathy.

I could not recommend Snowflakes nursery highly enough. The love, nurturing, care and attention that goes into these kids is beyond exceptional. First my daughter attended the pre-school and was more than prepped for her transition into Reception, they really went above and beyond to support the transition period.
