Snowflakes Day Nursery & Montessori in Hanwell sits in a quiet cul-de-sac.
Located within a residential complex between the Iron Bridge on Uxbridge Road and Three Bridges off Windmill Avenue. Our Comer Crescent branch is firmly rooted in the local community. We offer a safe environment that offers an extension of your family life. This secure setting allows us to offer a calmness that helps children to settle quickly and build strong attachments with our team.
Our setting can be found on the border of Hanwell beside Ealing Hospital. Children here flourish, forming strong bonds with our staff. The children develop fundamental self-care skills through purposeful Montessori activities as highlighted in our Ofsted report.
"Children thrive at this setting and form secure bonds with staff."
— Ofsted, September 2024
We seamlessly blend the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with core Montessori principles. You will see this in how we encourage independence: from babies learning to feed themselves to older children self-serving their meals. Our goal is to foster autonomy and independent decision-making skills from the earliest possible age.
Our location, less than a 10-minute walk from Ealing Hospital, makes us a convenient hub for families living and working in the Hanwell, Greenford and Southall area. We provide a reliable, nurturing support system for parents who need to know their children are close by and thriving while they work.
We have a proud track record of preparing children for a successful transition to a wide range of local primary schools, including:
Children are able to start primary school with their new teachers already having a strong understanding of the development areas they excel in and also need attention in allowing for seamless transitions.
Local primary schools consistently report that our graduates arrive with superior concentration, independence, and enthusiasm for learning

We welcome children from 3 months to 5 years. Comer Crescent is registered for up to 54 children and serves families across Hanwell, Windmill Park, Greenford, and West Ealing. Babies start in the Lilac Room before progressing into the Blue Room and Green Room — mixed-age settings where children learn alongside peers at different stages.
We are open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, all year round with no term-time closure. A full day runs across two sessions — morning (8am–12:55pm) and afternoon (1:05pm–6pm). Comer Crescent sits on a quiet cul-de-sac, so drop-off and pick-up are calm even at the busiest times.
Children from Comer Crescent commonly move on to Oaklands, St Mark's, Hobbayne, Havelock, and Fielding primary schools. Our school readiness programme builds the literacy, numeracy, and independence skills children need so they arrive at Reception confident and prepared. We're happy to discuss school transition with parents at any stage.
Yes. We accept 15-hour and 30-hour free childcare for 3- and 4-year-olds, funded places for eligible 2-year-olds, and Tax-Free Childcare.
