Snowflakes has operated as a family-run nursery since opening in 2002 and has since grown to four locations across the Borough of Ealing.
We are proud to deliver a commitment to quality early education with an integrated approach that few childcare providers can match.
We provide love, care and unstoppable momentum that compounds emotionally, socially and academically through to young adulthood.
Nirupa Kukapalan founded our settings in Southall and Northolt from 2002 and expanded with Co-founder Sathushen Kukapalan to Hanwell & Norwood Green from 2015.

"We started Snowflakes because we believed our corner of suburban London deserved the same high-quality early education only available in more affluent areas at the time. Since then, we've seen countless children from our community exceed every expectation.
Excellence isn't about privilege; it is about the right environment with the right expertise and believing in the child."

The founding vision remains unchanged since its opening: every child should reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Our local settings provides us the advantage to make decisions based on what we see.
The two founders work together with a complete understanding, as mother and son usually do: Nirupa’s focus on relationships and long-term family connections balances Sathushen’s focus on critical thinking and empowering children to be self-reliant and independent.
This partnership produces a philosophy we hold firmly: every child should be given the chance to realise their complete potential and be given a genuine opportunity to achieve academically, socially, and emotionally.

Snowflakes has reached it's perfect size as a business: large enough to offer professional resources and training, but small enough that the founders still know the staff and children by name.
We choose quality over growth. We operate four settings in the Borough of Ealing. We could expand further, but as Nirupa observes:
"When you have more branches, the quality goes down. Four locations allows us to remain hands-on meaning room to notice & improve on the small details everyday. Expanding further would dilute what makes Snowflakes work."

Children thrive with consistency. When your child arrives each morning, they deserve to see familiar faces. Snowflakes employs 35 team members across our four branches, with 90% holding Level 3 qualifications or above. The government requires only 50%.
Many of our educators have remained with us for over a decade, who have witnessed hundreds of children grow from babies to confident school starters.
This stability directly benefits your child. The Key Worker system assigns each child a dedicated practitioner who tracks their development, communicates with parents, and provides the secure attachment that underpins all learning.
"We have amazing staff who know each child’s needs, and potential. They are empowered to make decisions on what they observe to allow for the freedom of each child’s individuality and development."
