What To Expect In Our Baby Room
Your baby's development isn't linear - it's full of developmental leaps and changes that are often exciting and unexpected, yet surprisingly interconnected.
While every child grows at their own pace, we focus on four key areas that support one another and lead to outcomes that form the foundations for a rounded development in all areas

That first morning handover is tough. Some parents hover by the door all day, others practically sprint out because they can't watch while most know it's good for their baby.
However you deal with your baby leaving your side for the first time is fine. By their first day you will have both met your baby's key person, they won't feel like a stranger and your child is in capable hands.
They'll develop a special bond with their key person while keeping you as their everything. When your baby reaches for their key worker with a smile at drop-off, it means they feel safe.
We know the difference between "I'm sad you're leaving" tears and genuine distress. Both can be part of the journey but both subside quickly. We'll always call if your baby needs you.
Settling With Your Babies Key Person
Not just another staff member - this is your baby's special person.
They conduct your settling sessions, learning your baby's unique cues and behaviours.
Starts with parent-accompanied visits where you'll see your baby begin to trust their key person
Gradually increases separation time based on your comfort and your baby's emotional cues
Follows your baby's unique temperament—some babies need days, others need weeks
Typically takes 1-2 weeks, with daily updates on how your little one is adjusting
They maintain your baby's development record and provide you with daily updates on how their day has gone. Most importantly, they become your partner in this journey. When they tell you "We had a breakthrough with tummy time today!" they're as excited as you are.
Development Without Pressure
We track milestones carefully but never rush them. Your baby isn't "behind" if they're not crawling at ten months. They're following their unique timeline.
We provide opportunities - tummy time, reaching activities, supported standing when ready - but always respect individual pace.
We recommend coming for a morning exploration to meet our dedicated staff and see our room in action. Meet your potential key person and ask any questions you need to ask.
